Trilogy for taking medical and supplemental products. Salad (1:6)

There are a multitude of strategies recommended. With so many possibilities, and most often not based on peer-reviewed scientific articles, what to do?

I recommend always considering the trilogy of considerations:

1. does it make sense with some scientifically justifiable reasoning?

2. is it quite affordable?

3. is it very safe to take?

If the answer is yes to all of the trilogy, then why not take it.

An excellent example of this, and one therefore I recommend trying is combining cilantro and chlorella. By description the two act in a complementary fashion to chelate and remove heavy metals. Who doesn't like Mexican food with a lot of cilantro - nobody.

Add this to our list:

Blueberries, a natural antioxidant (who doesn't like blueberries?)

Magnesium seems a reasonable mineral to take. Look for it in products like Alkaline water (then you get 2 for 1). Sometimes taking in tablet form - prefer as part of a multivitamin tablet, but enthusiasts ok to take as a pill on its own (but not too much).

Peaches and other pectin containing fruits (apricots, nectarines). Natural chelator.

Fresh vegetables: broccoli, lettuce, spinach, and don't forget beets (try Borscht). Vitamins.

Salmon (as sushi or lightly cooked) omega fatty acids.

Glutathione, Ginkgo. antioxidants. Look for these in a general multivitamin with antioxidants and minerals.

Kefir and Yogurt. Intestinal bacterial health - the microbiome.

Curcumin, turmeric, honey, maple syrup. As flavor enhancers. Pretty well everything, from warding off dementia to general strengthening of immune system and antioxidants.

Remember everything in moderation, especially pills, this includes also supplements. That is why I prefer getting these from natural foods, or by taking them altogether in one daily multivitamin + supplements.

How many of these act beyond the power of a believable placebo - I am not certain. But if they fall into the SALAD trilogy, and they are tasty, one would be foolish not to employ them. This essentially falls into the rubric of Pascal's wager.

We will continue to discuss, describe and add to this list.

Stay tuned on the latest advancements:
