Over the course of 8 years I have been involved in the care of individuals around the USA and around the world. Many individuals end up getting treated close to home by centers who will (more or less) follow my regimens. The essential component is chelating with DTPA. However, moving forward chelation is not exclusively by DTPA, it will be any chelator that has at least comparable stability constant with Gd, and shows very good in vivo removal of Gd in humans.
So there are many centers out there chelating with DTPA, and even though I may have set them up, I may have lost track of them.. So do not assume I remember you. Many patients ask me if I have a center who treats ... in some location.... I tell them to check the website of GadTTRAC....... gadttrac.org, to see centers listed, and if they are close to them they should go there. However often I do prefer to treat them for the first 2 chelations... so the individual also knows how it should be done.
So, if you are treating patients for GDD and are using iv DTPA (at present) then please email me at richardsemelka@gmail.com so I can have you listed on gadttrac.org.
At this moment, as a Canadian dual citizen (now with US) I am surprised that I do not have a Canadian site I can send patients to, even though I have worked with many Canadian patients. So at this very moment in time I am keen to add Canadian treating centers. Just for Canadian reference, I have worked with atleast 3 centers in Australia, and one in New Zealand.... and they are listed on gadttrac.org no one in Canada can treat patients? There is some urgency for me. Also strange for me I have no centers in Mexico or Brazil.
Contact me right away and let me know. I apologize if I have not listed you already on gadtttrac.org. My excuse is I am not that capable with computers, and saving critical things > like your contact.
