Preparation for getting an MRI. Revisiting this subject.

preparation for MRI scan
preparation for MRI scan

This is a question I get quite often, and have written a few blogs on the subject. But repetition is useful, especially when there is some tweaking to the recommendation:

I have written recently a book: Heavy Metals. The White Sabbath of Toxins. available at Amazon and elsewhere.

I do not do any elaborate scheme for GBCA preparation. I am not sure if many things recommended by others don't actually make it worse.

1. do you need GBCA injection?

2. stay calm.

3. do not do anything extreme, no exercise, etc around the time of MRI

4. keep stress low. STAY CALM.

5. mild increase water content.... Not too much water/fluid consumption. before or after. Just a little bit more. Goldilocks Principle.

6. Turmeric and chlorella.

7. If you are a white woman, and have multiple sensitivities to chemicals, you are at highest risk... then I ask the question again: do you really need Gd injection?

8. Delay MRI if you can, if you are taking any high potency drugs etc that affects the immune system, such as antibiotics..

  1. Look up anti-inflammatory foods and eat a little bit more of them before and after MRI, and also for the rest of your life (this last as a general principle and not referring to just the one time MRI with GBCA)
